What actually stops this from sending while I'm alive?
Nothing is ever delivered on a timer or a guess. Your trusted Senders, usually three people you name, have to confirm together that the time has come. It takes two of them to agree, so no single person, and no mistake, can ever trigger delivery.
Can my Senders read my messages?
No. Senders only confirm when the time has come. They never see, hear, or open anything you've recorded. The contents are for your chosen recipients alone.
Is my voice and information private?
Yes. Your recordings are encrypted and stored securely. The photos you add to help yourself navigate your own people are kept private to you and are never transmitted to anyone.
What happens to my messages if Away Message goes away?
We built Away Message around one principle: your memories should outlast us. We hold your messages in trust with safeguards so that, whatever happens to the company, what you've left behind is preserved and still reaches the people you chose.
Can I change or add messages later?
Always. Come back any time to re-record, add new messages, reassign belongings, or update who your Senders and recipients are. Nothing is locked until it's delivered.
What can I record?
Voice, video, or written notes. You can also keep private keepsakes, like an old voicemail or a scanned photo, and assign belongings in the Who Gets What. No rush, and no right way to do it.
